Terms of sale

These terms govern purchases made on Distinct Learners Series™. They are written to be read. Where the law requires specific wording, that wording controls.

Who you are contracting with

These terms are between you and Distinct Learners Series, the operator of Distinct Learners Series™. Our contact address is hello@distinctlearnersseries.com.

Our registered details are supplied on your order confirmation. If you are buying for a business, the business is the contracting party.

What you are buying

You are buying a personal, non-transferable licence to read one title in our reader. You are not buying a file, and the product does not deliver one.

Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira and include any tax we are required to collect. Your bank or card provider may add a processing fee that is outside our control and is not included in the displayed price.

Payment and confirmation

The rule that matters

Access to a title is granted only after your payment has been verified on our server by the payment provider. A browser redirect, a success page, or a screenshot you send us is never proof of payment.

Payment is taken on Paystack's own secure checkout page. We never receive or store your card number, security code or PIN.

Where a payment is not completed, or a card is declined, no licence is created and you are not charged.

If a payment fails after you have already been granted access — for example a later chargeback — the licence is revoked and the title returns to being purchasable.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for everything done through your account.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
  • You may not create an account to evade a refund, chargeback or licence revocation.
  • We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the platform, to harass staff, or to obtain titles through deception.

Refunds and cancellations

If a title is not what you expected, tell us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it in full. Our full process is set out on the refund policy page.

  • A refunded title is removed from your library and may be purchased again.
  • A refund is returned to the original payment method. Bank processing times vary and are outside our control.
  • Chargebacks are handled as refunds plus a flag on the account. Repeatedly reversing a legitimate charge affects your ability to buy.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep every purchased title readable indefinitely, but we are a small operation and titles do occasionally need to be withdrawn — for example where a rights holder withdraws permission, or where a title has a serious technical fault.

Where a title is withdrawn we will tell you, and you will be offered a full refund. Your purchase is not simply voided.

Liability

We provide this service with reasonable care and skill. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or entirely error-free.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the title concerned.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts, and both parties will attempt good-faith resolution before proceedings where that is possible.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects an existing purchase, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect. Terms in force at the moment of purchase continue to govern that purchase.
